The Duke The series was based on Oscar Ramsey, a prizefighter turned private detective in the streets of Chicago. Alongside "The Duke" (Robert Conrad), who had connections on both sides of the law was actor/stuntman Red West (see also Coach of the Year) who played the role of Sgt. Mick O'Brien. Red wrote a song used in the "Nothing 'Cept Noise" episode called "Down on Wilson Avenue" that Mrs. Conrad (singer/actress LaVelda Fann) sang. The song was recorded in Dick Marx's studio in 1979. |
