Ash Hollow State Historical
Park
Three miles southeast of Lewellen
on U.S. Hwy 26, just west of Lake McConaughy. Visitor center interprets
geological, paleontology, prehistoric, American Indian, fur trappers, explorers
and pioneers. Ash Hollow Indian Cave and Windlass Hill included. Ruts remain
from the covered wagons that descended Windlass Hill more than a century ago.
