(Platte means : 'shallow' or 'flat', from the French traders)
Buffalo County, near Kearney, Nebraska
You can see Interstate-80 running through Central Nebraska
Here the Platte River runs south of I-80 in Central Nebraska, they often run side by side, mirroring each other
but sometimes they criss-cross & the river will run on the north side of I-80.
